While a massive wave of Nepali youth chose to go abroad, Roshan made a conscious decision to stay.

Roshan hadn’t seen much of his own country until a life-changing trek to Tsum Valley in 2012 after completing his school. Fresh out of school, he was captivated. This sparked a profound realization: so many people from our own country, especially city dwellers, have no idea how beautiful Nepal truly is. For the first time being in the mountains he felt a deep, pure connection to nature that modern life often strips away.

Starting his career as a trekking sherpa, he earned his certification as a guide and has since led numerous successful treks. Later, after spending six years sharpening his leadership skills for another agency, he took all his experience and co-founded Silver Moon Adventure & Tours. He wanted to dedicate his life to sharing the raw beauty of his homeland.

Today, he masterfully combines his deep, first-hand destination knowledge with modern digital marketing to put Nepal on the global map. Believing that we are far “too distracted by modern conveniences,” he encourages everyone to explore at least one new destination a year, and there is no better place to start than the mountains.
