The 3 Days Poon Hill Trek Itinerary is a short and rewarding Himalayan journey for travelers who want mountain views, village life, and sunrise beauty in a limited time. This trek begins from Nayapul (1,070m), where you first drive from Pokhara for about two hours before starting the walk. The trail moves through local settlements, terraced fields, and stone steps, and the climb from Hile to Ulleri is the toughest part of the trip. However, the effort feels worthwhile because the landscape opens up early, and Annapurna South (7,219m) looks stunning above the green rice fields.
On the second day, you trek toward Ghorepani (2,860m). The path goes through dense rhododendron forests, and along the way, you pass Banthanti and Nangethanti villages. Birds, fresh air, and peaceful woodland scenery make this day especially memorable. By late afternoon, you reach Ghorepani, a beautiful ridge village with wide mountain views. Here, you rest overnight and prepare for the sunrise walk.
Early in the morning, you hike to Poon Hill (3,210m), which takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. Although the climb is steep, it is short, and the sunrise view is unforgettable. From the viewpoint, Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Machapuchare (6,993m), and Annapurna I (8,091m) shine beautifully in the morning light. After taking photos and enjoying the scenery, you return to Ghorepani for breakfast and then descend to Nayapul through Ulleri and Tikhedhunga before driving back to Pokhara.
Why choose Silver Moon Adventure and Tour? Because this short trek gives you sunrise, forest, culture, and mountain views in just three days, it is perfect for busy travelers, weekend walkers, and first-time trekkers.
Your journey starts with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, which takes around two hours. After reaching Nayapul, you begin walking through Birethanti, local villages, terraced farmland, and peaceful countryside. Gradually, the trail follows the route toward Tikhedhunga and Hile, where you can enjoy the natural surroundings and observe the simple lifestyle of the local communities. After Hile, the trail becomes much steeper, and you climb the long stone steps toward Ulleri.
