Trip Overview

The 9-day Kathmandu, Pokhara, Ghandruk, and Chitwan Tour is a great way to experience some of Nepal’s most popular destinations in one journey. From ancient temples and historic cities to mountain villages, peaceful lakes, and jungle wildlife, the tour lets you see many sides of Nepal without a long trek.

Your journey begins in Kathmandu, where ancient temples, busy streets, quiet courtyards, and centuries-old traditions come together. You’ll visit some of the valley’s best-known cultural and religious sites, including Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Along the way, you’ll get a feel for the history and everyday culture of the Kathmandu Valley.

Pokhara brings a completely different atmosphere. The city is known for Phewa Lake, green hills, and beautiful mountain views, but there’s plenty to see beyond the lakeside. Your sightseeing includes Tal Barahi Temple, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, the International Mountain Museum, and the World Peace Pagoda. Once the sightseeing is done, you’ll also have some free time to enjoy the Lakeside area at your own pace.

The road then takes you into the hills toward Ghandruk. Life here moves at a much slower pace, and walking through the village gives you a chance to see a more traditional side of Nepal. You’ll pass stone-paved paths and traditional houses, meet local people, and enjoy the peaceful mountain setting. On a clear day, the views can stretch toward Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

By the time you reach Chitwan, the scenery has changed completely. The cooler mountain air gives way to the warmer Terai plains, where forests, grasslands, and rivers provide a home for a wide range of wildlife. During your time in Chitwan, you’ll have the chance to go on a jungle safari and look for one-horned rhinoceroses, deer, wild boar, monkeys, crocodiles, and different species of birds. A Tharu cultural program also allows you to learn more about the local community and its traditions.

There’s a little bit of everything in this 9-day journey, but you won’t need to commit to a long or demanding trek. You’ll have time for sightseeing, scenic drives, village walks, wildlife experiences, and some quiet moments along the way. That makes the tour a good fit for first-time visitors, couples, families, and anyone who wants to see more of Nepal without trying to fit too much into every day.

Unforgettable Trekking Experience & Warmest Hospitality with Silvermoon Adventure Silvermoon Adventure and Tours provides comprehensive, reliable, and top-tier service, treating every guest with genuine warmth and care. They truly make Nepal feel like a second home, and trekking with them means you won't need to worry about a single detail from start to finish. Why I Chose Silvermoon Adventure and Tours I learned about the team through Deepak. Once he knew my flight details and preferred trek, he immediately customized a detailed itinerary for me. While I consulted other travel agencies in Nepal, Deepak and the Silvermoon team provided the most thorough plan and transparent information, giving me complete confidence to book with them. The Trekking Experience My guide, Basanta, took exceptional care of me throughout the entire journey. Along the trail, he constantly checked in on how I was feeling, offered breaks, and even offered to carry my backpack to ensure I was comfortable. Every time we arrived at a tea house, he made sure I had food and drinks ready—even reminding me to order meals when I was too exhausted to think about it. On the day we reached Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), I developed a mild headache. Basanta immediately arranged garlic soup to help relieve the altitude sickness and provided medicine to soothe the pain. His attentive care made all the difference in completing the trek safely. Beyond his attentiveness, Basanta is an expert guide who always navigated the easiest paths at trail junctions. Even after we returned to Pokhara for dinner, he ensured I got back to my hotel safely. Deepak also checked in via message every single day during the trek to ensure everything was running smoothly. After the Trek The team's hospitality didn't end on the trail. Back in Kathmandu, the founder, Bishal, gave me a warm welcome, helped me retrieve my luggage from the hotel, showed me around the city, and personally arranged my airport drop-off. Thank you to Basanta, Bishal, and Deepak for an unforgettable experience. I will definitely return to Nepal and trek with Silvermoon Adventure and Tours again. Highly recommended!

Excellent guide and wonderful experience My husband and I had the most amazing experience trekking in the Himalayas to Poonhill with Bishal. We were very well looked after and felt extremely safe with him at all times. He made us laugh when the hike got a little trickier and always made sure we had hot drinks and food as soon as we got to the huts. We would highly recommend him as a wonderful and trustworthy guide and will definitely contact him again when we have plans to come back!
