Trip Overview
The Kori Danda Trek with Kathmandu and Pokhara Sightseeing is a beautiful short trekking adventure in the Annapurna region of Nepal that combines Himalayan landscapes, Gurung culture, and the natural beauty of Nepal’s famous cities. This 10-day package is designed for travelers who want to experience a peaceful mountain journey away from crowded trekking routes while also exploring the cultural highlights of Kathmandu and the scenic charm of Pokhara. The journey begins in Kathmandu, where you will discover Nepal’s ancient heritage, traditions, and historical landmarks before heading toward the Annapurna region.
After exploring Kathmandu, you will drive to Pokhara, the gateway city for many famous Himalayan adventures. The scenic drive offers beautiful views of green hills, rivers, villages, and terraced farmland along the highway. Pokhara is known for its peaceful lakeside environment and stunning views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountain ranges. Before starting the trek, you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Pokhara and prepare yourself for the upcoming Kori Danda Trek.
The main highlight of this journey is the trek through the beautiful landscapes of the Annapurna region. The trail begins from Sikles Village, one of the largest and most beautiful Gurung settlements in Nepal. The route takes you through traditional villages, forests, alpine landscapes, and peaceful mountain trails. Unlike many popular trekking routes, the Kori Danda Trek offers a quiet and authentic experience where travelers can enjoy nature, local culture, and breathtaking Himalayan surroundings without large crowds.
During the trek, you will walk from Sikles Village toward Tasha and continue to Kori Danda, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region. Standing at approximately 3,800 meters, Kori Danda provides spectacular views of the Annapurna, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, and surrounding Himalayan ranges. The sunrise from Kori Danda is the most memorable part of this trek, where the golden sunlight creates a magical view over the snow-covered mountains.
The Kori Danda Trek Nepal experience is suitable for travelers who are looking for a moderate Himalayan adventure with cultural experiences and beautiful scenery. The trail includes some uphill sections, but the peaceful environment and rewarding mountain views make the journey enjoyable. With comfortable arrangements, experienced trekking guides, and proper planning, Silver Moon Adventure and Tour provides a safe and memorable trekking experience through the hidden beauty of the Annapurna region.
This package is an excellent choice for those who want a combination of city exploration, Gurung culture, and a short Himalayan trekking adventure in Nepal.
Kori Danda Trek Difficulty
Kori Danda Trek is a moderate trek offering beautiful Himalayan views with cultural experiences.
The Kori Danda Trek is considered a Moderate-level trekking experience in the Annapurna region. It is suitable for travelers who have a basic level of fitness and enjoy walking in the Himalayan hills. Although the trek does not require technical climbing skills, some sections include continuous uphill walking, which can be physically demanding.
The trail from Sikles Village to Tasha and Kori Danda includes forest paths, gradual climbs, and mountain terrain. Since Kori Danda reaches around 3,800 meters, travelers may feel the effects of altitude, especially during the final uphill sections. However, the risk is lower compared to higher Himalayan treks because the itinerary includes a gradual ascent and proper rest.
A good preparation with regular walking, comfortable trekking shoes, and a positive mindset is enough to complete this trek successfully. The peaceful trails, Gurung villages, and spectacular Himalayan views make the effort rewarding.
