Annapurna Circuit Trek with Nar Phu Valley -27 Days
Trip Overview
The Annapurna Circuit Trek with Nar Phu Valley, Tilicho Lake and Annapurna Base Camp is one of the most complete trekking experiences in Nepal, combining three legendary Himalayan adventures into a single journey. This extended trek takes you through the remote and untouched landscapes of Nar Phu Valley, the classic trails of the Annapurna Circuit, the beautiful Tilicho Lake, and the iconic Annapurna Base Camp.
The journey begins with a scenic private jeep drive from Kathmandu to Koto, followed by a remote trek into the hidden valleys of Nar Phu. Trekkers explore ancient villages, Tibetan-influenced cultures, and dramatic mountain landscapes before crossing the challenging Kang La Pass (5,306m) and reaching Manang. After proper acclimatization, the trail continues toward Tilicho Base Camp and Tilicho Lake (4,919m) before heading to the famous Thorong La Pass (5,416m), one of the highest trekking passes in Nepal.
After crossing Thorong La Pass, the route continues through Muktinath, Ghorepani, and Poon Hill before entering the Annapurna Sanctuary. The final highlight of this adventure is reaching Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), surrounded by some of the world’s highest peaks, including Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli.
This 27-day Annapurna Circuit Trek package is designed for experienced trekkers looking for a challenging yet rewarding Himalayan adventure with diverse landscapes, high mountain passes, traditional villages, and unforgettable views.
Annapurna Circuit Trek with Nar Phu Valley Difficulty
The Annapurna Circuit Trek with Nar Phu Valley, Tilicho Lake and Annapurna Base Camp is considered a challenging-level trek in Nepal because it combines long trekking days, high-altitude sections, and multiple mountain passes. This trek requires good physical fitness, proper preparation, and a strong mindset as the trail reaches above 5,000 meters at both Kang La Pass (5,306m) and Thorong La Pass (5,416m).
The difficulty increases because of the remote Nar Phu Valley route, where trekkers walk through less-developed trails, steep landscapes, and isolated Himalayan settlements. Although the trekking pace is designed with acclimatization days in Phu Village and Manang, travelers should be prepared for long walking hours, changing weather conditions, and altitude challenges.
The Tilicho Lake section is another demanding part of this journey, requiring uphill climbs, rocky trails, and careful walking at higher elevations. Similarly, reaching Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) involves continuous trekking through forest trails, mountain valleys, and steep sections.
However, this trek is achievable for trekkers with previous hiking experience and good endurance. Regular walking, cardiovascular training, and proper acclimatization help make the journey safer and more enjoyable. With experienced guides, a suitable itinerary, and careful preparation, the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Nar Phu Valley, Tilicho Lake & Annapurna Base Camp becomes a once-in-a-lifetime Himalayan adventur.
