Trip Overview

The Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek offers a more comfortable and personalized way to experience one of the world’s most famous mountain journeys. This 16-day adventure begins in Kathmandu, where you will stay at a luxurious 5-star hotel and spend a day exploring the city’s rich cultural heritage, ancient temples, and vibrant local life. From Kathmandu, you will travel by private vehicle to Ramechhap. From where you will take a spectacular flight to Lukla.

Once you land in Lukla, the trek begins through charming Sherpa villages, lush rhododendron and pine forests, ancient mani walls, and suspension bridges crossing the Dudh Koshi River. You can enjoy the trail at a comfortable pace while enjoying the changing Himalayan scenery. As you move deeper into the Khumbu, you will experience the warm hospitality, culture, and traditions of the Sherpa people.

Namche Bazaar, surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, is an important stop for acclimatization and one of the most enjoyable places along the route. You can explore its local markets, cafes, bakeries, and viewpoints before taking a scenic hike toward the Everest View Hotel. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and other magnificent Himalayan peaks.

As you continue toward Tengboche, Dingboche, and beyond, the landscape gradually becomes more rugged and dramatic. You will visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, walk through wide mountain valleys, and watch the forests slowly disappear as you gain altitude. There will be a dedicated acclimatization time in Dingboche that allows your body to adjust while giving you the chance to enjoy the surroundings without rushing.

The highlight of the journey comes when you reach Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters. From Gorak Shep, you will cross rocky glacial terrain toward Base Camp, surrounded by ice, glaciers, and towering Himalayan peaks. The following morning, an early hike to Kala Patthar offers another unforgettable experience as the first light of the day reaches Mount Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, and the surrounding mountains.

As you descend through the Khumbu Valley and head back to Lukla, the journey becomes more relaxed. The luxury of this trek is not about expecting five-star facilities in remote Himalayan villages. It is about enjoying the best available accommodation, private support, a comfortable pace, quality meals, and carefully planned services.

By the time you return to Kathmandu, you will have experienced much more than Everest Base Camp. You will have explored the heart of the Khumbu, experienced Sherpa culture, and created memories among some of the world’s highest mountains.

You’ll continue through alpine landscapes before descending to Phunki Tenga, a small settlement beside the Dudh Koshi River. After a short break, you begin ascending through peaceful forests of pine, fir, and rhododendron. The climb is steady, but the changing scenery and mountain views make it an enjoyable part of the day.

As you gain altitude, you’ll eventually reach Tengboche, one of the most beautiful villages in the Khumbu region. After checking into your premium mountain teahouse, you can visit the famous Tengboche Monastery. Tengboche Monastery is the largest and most important Buddhist monastery in the Everest region.

Here, you’ll see the memorials dedicated to climbers and mountaineers who lost their lives while attempting to climb Everest and other Himalayan peaks.

From the pass, the trail continues across the high Himalayan landscape toward Lobuche. The more you go deeper into the Everest region, the more you will find the air getting thinner and the surroundings becoming more barren.

Unforgettable Trekking Experience & Warmest Hospitality with Silvermoon Adventure Silvermoon Adventure and Tours provides comprehensive, reliable, and top-tier service, treating every guest with genuine warmth and care. They truly make Nepal feel like a second home, and trekking with them means you won't need to worry about a single detail from start to finish. Why I Chose Silvermoon Adventure and Tours I learned about the team through Deepak. Once he knew my flight details and preferred trek, he immediately customized a detailed itinerary for me. While I consulted other travel agencies in Nepal, Deepak and the Silvermoon team provided the most thorough plan and transparent information, giving me complete confidence to book with them. The Trekking Experience My guide, Basanta, took exceptional care of me throughout the entire journey. Along the trail, he constantly checked in on how I was feeling, offered breaks, and even offered to carry my backpack to ensure I was comfortable. Every time we arrived at a tea house, he made sure I had food and drinks ready—even reminding me to order meals when I was too exhausted to think about it. On the day we reached Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), I developed a mild headache. Basanta immediately arranged garlic soup to help relieve the altitude sickness and provided medicine to soothe the pain. His attentive care made all the difference in completing the trek safely. Beyond his attentiveness, Basanta is an expert guide who always navigated the easiest paths at trail junctions. Even after we returned to Pokhara for dinner, he ensured I got back to my hotel safely. Deepak also checked in via message every single day during the trek to ensure everything was running smoothly. After the Trek The team's hospitality didn't end on the trail. Back in Kathmandu, the founder, Bishal, gave me a warm welcome, helped me retrieve my luggage from the hotel, showed me around the city, and personally arranged my airport drop-off. Thank you to Basanta, Bishal, and Deepak for an unforgettable experience. I will definitely return to Nepal and trek with Silvermoon Adventure and Tours again. Highly recommended!

Excellent guide and wonderful experience My husband and I had the most amazing experience trekking in the Himalayas to Poonhill with Bishal. We were very well looked after and felt extremely safe with him at all times. He made us laugh when the hike got a little trickier and always made sure we had hot drinks and food as soon as we got to the huts. We would highly recommend him as a wonderful and trustworthy guide and will definitely contact him again when we have plans to come back!
