  • What is not included in the package?

International airfare, Nepal visa fees, personal expenses, alcoholic and other beverages, trekking equipment, travel insurance, hot showers, Wi-Fi, battery charging, tips, additional hotel nights, and expenses not specifically listed under the inclusions are excluded.

  • How much does the trek cost?

The page currently lists USD 2,200 per person for a solo traveler and USD 1,888 per person for groups of 2–5 people. The price is based on the stated group size and package arrangements.

  • Does the price change according to group size?

Yes. Silver Moon Adventure offers group-size pricing, with the current listed rate being lower for groups of 2–5 travelers than for a solo traveler. The company states that discounts are based solely on group size, and travelers are not added to the group.

  • Is travel insurance required?

Travel insurance is not included in the package, but it is strongly recommended. Choose a policy that covers trekking at the required altitude as well as emergency medical treatment and evacuation.

  • How early should I book this trek?

Advance booking is recommended, particularly during spring and autumn. Booking early helps with arranging domestic flights, accommodation, permits, trekking staff, and helicopter logistics.

Photography and Experience

  • Is this trek good for photography?

Yes. The Annapurna Base Camp route offers excellent opportunities for mountain, landscape, village, and cultural photography. Poon Hill sunrise, Annapurna Sanctuary, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and ABC are major photographic highlights.

  • What are the best photography locations?

Poon Hill is one of the best sunrise viewpoints, offering panoramic Himalayan scenery. Machhapuchhre Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp provide dramatic close-up views of the surrounding peaks, while the forests and traditional villages offer a different side of the region.

  • Can I take photographs at Annapurna Base Camp?

Yes. ABC is one of the trek’s main highlights and offers spectacular photo opportunities. Be considerate of other trekkers and local visitors while taking pictures.

  • Is the helicopter return good for photography?

Absolutely. The helicopter flight from ABC to Pokhara provides a completely different perspective of the Annapurna region. You can see the valleys, forests, trails, glaciers, and mountains from above, subject to flight and weather conditions.

  • What kind of experience can I expect from this trek?

Expect a mix of adventure, mountain scenery, local culture, forest trails, traditional villages, and a memorable high-altitude experience. The helicopter return adds comfort and a unique aerial experience to the classic Annapurna Base Camp adventure.

Unforgettable Trekking Experience & Warmest Hospitality with Silvermoon Adventure Silvermoon Adventure and Tours provides comprehensive, reliable, and top-tier service, treating every guest with genuine warmth and care. They truly make Nepal feel like a second home, and trekking with them means you won't need to worry about a single detail from start to finish. Why I Chose Silvermoon Adventure and Tours I learned about the team through Deepak. Once he knew my flight details and preferred trek, he immediately customized a detailed itinerary for me. While I consulted other travel agencies in Nepal, Deepak and the Silvermoon team provided the most thorough plan and transparent information, giving me complete confidence to book with them. The Trekking Experience My guide, Basanta, took exceptional care of me throughout the entire journey. Along the trail, he constantly checked in on how I was feeling, offered breaks, and even offered to carry my backpack to ensure I was comfortable. Every time we arrived at a tea house, he made sure I had food and drinks ready—even reminding me to order meals when I was too exhausted to think about it. On the day we reached Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), I developed a mild headache. Basanta immediately arranged garlic soup to help relieve the altitude sickness and provided medicine to soothe the pain. His attentive care made all the difference in completing the trek safely. Beyond his attentiveness, Basanta is an expert guide who always navigated the easiest paths at trail junctions. Even after we returned to Pokhara for dinner, he ensured I got back to my hotel safely. Deepak also checked in via message every single day during the trek to ensure everything was running smoothly. After the Trek The team's hospitality didn't end on the trail. Back in Kathmandu, the founder, Bishal, gave me a warm welcome, helped me retrieve my luggage from the hotel, showed me around the city, and personally arranged my airport drop-off. Thank you to Basanta, Bishal, and Deepak for an unforgettable experience. I will definitely return to Nepal and trek with Silvermoon Adventure and Tours again. Highly recommended!

Excellent guide and wonderful experience My husband and I had the most amazing experience trekking in the Himalayas to Poonhill with Bishal. We were very well looked after and felt extremely safe with him at all times. He made us laugh when the hike got a little trickier and always made sure we had hot drinks and food as soon as we got to the huts. We would highly recommend him as a wonderful and trustworthy guide and will definitely contact him again when we have plans to come back!
