Jaszmyn Leong is a Malaysian outdoor enthusiast, expedition trekker, and creator of The Lazy Woman Diary, a YouTube channel documenting journeys through mountains, remote landscapes, and wilderness environments.
Her expedition journey began in Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo, where early exposure to the outdoors sparked a lifelong passion for trekking and exploration. At 17, she organised a 10-day, 9-night rainforest expedition to Mount Tahan, an experience that laid the foundation for decades of mountain travel and endurance trekking.
Over the years, she has completed multiple ascents of Mount Kinabalu, including a trans-Kinabalu traverse and a later multi-peak expedition involving alpine-style camping conditions. Her journeys extend across mountains and wilderness regions in Malaysia and beyond, often returning to familiar landscapes that have shaped her perspective over time.
Today, she is on a quest to complete the G20 Peaks of Malaysia while revisiting significant trails and destinations through different stages of life.
Through The Lazy Woman Diary, she shares not only the mountains she climbs, but also the preparation, challenges, lessons, and reflections that come with balancing adventure, career, family, and everyday life.
