Grace Chen is based in Taiwan. Before her retirement, Grace built a successful career in the medical device industry, where she held management responsibilities across the Asia-Pacific region. Her work allowed her to collaborate with people from diverse cultures and countries, giving her extensive international experience and a global perspective.

Since retiring, Grace has dedicated much of her time to pursuing her passions for travel, hiking, and fitness. Living in Taiwan, a country known for its beautiful mountain ranges, she discovered hiking as a retirement activity and quickly developed a deep love for the mountains.

In 2025, Grace set an ambitious goal for herself: to complete Taiwan’s renowned “100 Peaks” challenge within three years. Through determination and consistent effort, she has already climbed 65 of the 100 peaks and continues to work toward completing the challenge.

Grace’s passion for hiking extends far beyond Taiwan. She particularly enjoys trekking in Nepal, one of her favorite countries for mountain adventures. In 2024, she completed her first major trek in Nepal, the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek, and immediately fell in love with the country’s breathtaking mountain scenery and unique culture. Inspired by that experience, she went on to complete the Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek in 2025 and the Annapurna Circuit Trek (ACT) in 2026.

For Grace, hiking is not only about reaching a destination but also about embracing challenges, discovering new places, and continually learning from each journey. Her enthusiasm, perseverance, and adventurous spirit make her an inspiring example of how retirement can be the beginning of exciting new adventures.
